In some ways, we can feel
we have either too much choice in our lives (eight brands of
coffee at the supermarket) or too little (due to health problems,
lack of time, money and so on) and the temptation is then to
look for answers or guidance outside ourselves. However, the
Pavanis approach is that love, in the highest sense, is actually
a catalyst for finding the answers within ourselves.
Ravenna aims to help her
clients deal with any obstacles (whether physical, mental,
emotional or spiritual) which might be blocking vision and
insight. Using the various Pavanis strands, she works to clear,
heal, revitalise and strengthen the link between the client
and his or her own source of loving spirituality and wisdom.
As that link grows stronger, it generally results in a greater
sense of inner peace, increased awareness of our life’s
purpose, and more insight into our current situation. At the
same time, anxiety about the future tends to diminish. (Paradoxically,
this fear or anxiety is often the driving force for us to seek
vision and guidance in the first place – a bit like toothache
compelling us to visit the dentist!).

In metaphysical terms, the
word “vision” implies an awakening of wisdom and
insight (aspects of the sixth chakra, or "third eye").
Signs of this awakening and inner spiritual guidance can take
the form of visions and images seen in our mind’s eye
whilst we are awake. Some visions can provide us with a blueprint
for our life’s direction. Generally speaking, they need
to be wholeheartedly sought. One of the most famous visions
of all, is Moses’ vision of the burning bush, described
in the Bible. This vision evokes the paradox, or miracle, which
occurs when the divine and material levels of reality directly
interact. We can also receive clarity and/or guidance through
our dreams. However, greater insight need not be image-related;
it can also be non-visual – just a simple realisation
about one’s true role in life, the best way through a
tricky situation or the next step forward, for example.

Ravenna uses visualisation
as a way to help clients identify their true values for fulfilment
and clarify their life’s purpose. This can be done once,
usually towards the end of a course of treatments, or several
times, and works best when the client is deeply relaxed. Clients
are also encouraged to sit quietly in nature and meditate receptively.
Sometimes a client will receive images and/or abstract colours
during a healing session, as does Ravenna as the healer. Guidance
can also come in the form of direct information and clarity
given to Ravenna whilst she is working.
